FAQS
-
I’ll talk you through the inspiration picture and how we can make it you. For example, what do you love about the eye makeup? How do you feel about the thickness of the makeup? Your face and eye shape and the picture, is it achievable?
-
Open communication is important, this is why the initial conversation is important to achieve the best look achievable for your features and colouring. I’ll happily make changes as time permits. Time may not permit major changes
-
If it’s your go too and it makes you feel like you then please bring it along. We’ll include that in the initial discussion

This may come as a shock to some but not every woman likes falsies! In fact, I would say at least 40% of my clients request no false lashes. As an MUA we know it finishes the look and opens or exaggerates the eyes but we get it, it’s ok, just be open and honest with me and I will happily comply.
-
Yes please ensure you have them put in prior to your appointment.
About Me
-
It all started one year getting my makeup professionally done by MakeupMode. Susy and I were talking Makeup, but the thought of doing someone else’s Makeup scared me.
In 2019 I completed her Certified course and started going with her on jobs for training, observing and hands on assisting. However, that was just the beginning, since then I have done numerous classes, masterclasses and assisting. Working with established professionals to learn from has been one my favourite things to do!

Social Media and its effect on how women see and value themselves

I sure do, I have quite a few. It’s important to seek advice and direction from those with true experience. While we can learn quick tips and tricks through influencers or YouTube, nothing beats actual hands on and life experience from other working MUA’s and Hairstylists. I have 3 for all aspects-Makeup, Hairstyling & FX and I appreciate all the time and knowledge they willingly share.

COVID put a hold on my MUA adventure for a while but it lead me down the path of SFX & FX Makeup and then learning different forms of Prosthetics. While most are drawn towards Sci-Fi and Horror, for me, creating realistic Medical themed FX was intriguing. Why? Well as an MUA we know how important colour is, and yet to make a realistic subtle or non subtle wounds look so impactful that the viewer cant tell its real is the art form I wanted to explore more. This led me to many types of learnings and skills that eventuated in creating my own brand A “Touch of Drama”. So in my store I offer a variety Medical themed FX appliances and the little things you may need to just get going. While I started off with self learning, which led to so many questions and wasted money I invested in learning from Professionals who offer classes and Tafe NSW to get a cert. My favourite was learning from seasoned professionals including Hollywood SFX legends who shared their knowledge and experience and continue to answer questions well after or classes are completed, I love that!
My prosthetic pieces are hand made and my heart and energy go in to every piece, they are created to last and I use every bit of tip and trick I have learnt from my Teachers in to them! So for those in the TV and Film industry who need longevity, something that is time efficient to apply and maintain and that anyone can apply, check them out and give them a go.. Whether you are in a Makeup team and have minimal or zero SFX skillset or want to use them for Cos Play, Stage or your general dress up party, you only need to apply your colours and mattify/set once you have them on. What’s your a “Touch of Drama” going to be..

I love seeing your everyday woman of all ages feel beautiful! Helping women to learn to love how look as they are, not the filtered version we see a lot on social media, not that they look bad, but lights and filters are not realistic and give the impression you need to pack on the makeup to look gorgeous or you need major compliments and likes to feel validated, this doesn’t sit well with me, I want each to walk away feeling special and feeling their best because that’s how they feel independent of others. So this became my focus, to empower women to love how they look not depend on the comments or likes on Social Media Posts. Which, my social media shows, likes doesn’t show your worth or ability.

Finding the right course for you is important. But one course may start the road to applying makeup on others but to become an artist it takes dedication, hours and hours of practice and real life experience and constant up skilling.
Each year I invest in courses that expand my skillset or push my boundaries, whether that be for Makeup FX or Beauty makeup. My next goal is to learn more about lighting and photography.
This year i’ve invested in a Hair styling course and in an person Masterclass along with my continued Makeup FX training which seems to just get better and better each course I do.
